Subotica & Palic
Subotica is a city and the administrative center of the North Backa District in the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. Formerly the largest city of Vojvodina region, contemporary Subotica is now the second largest city in the province, following the city of Novi Sad.
Departure from hotel in Belgrade. You will meet your tour guide around 08.00h. Subotica is located near the Hungarian border. For a short time, it was the capital city of Serbia during the reign of self-proclaimed Tzar Jovan Nenad. During its history, the city name changed over 200 times. The city name has changed over the years because it has so many inhabitants that are have different ethnical background and all of them wrote about it in their language. LAKE PALIC is near Subotica. It is a part of protected area of nature park Palic. It offers its visitors different sport activities, bird watching, cycling, hikes, photo-safari, medicinal and mineral waters, etc. Upon arrival in Subotica there will be a walk around the center to see the sites (Town house, Synagogue, cathedral Saint Terazije, Serbian Orthodox church, Royal Palace, monument to the victims of fascism, monument to Tzar Jovan Nenad, monument to Saint Trinity). After short lunch brake continue to Palic. There is a possibility to visit the Palic`s zoo. After visiting of Subotica and Palic departure to Belgrade. Arrival in Belgrade at late
